Emergency Aid Application Overview
This application is for requesting Emergency Aid to address unanticipated, short-term financial needs. The maximum award is $250 per academic year, though actual amounts will vary based on individual circumstances. Please allow 7–10 business days for review.

Eligibility:
Emergency Aid Funds are available only to scholars in SAEP’s Scholar Success Program (SAEP Scholarship recipients from the graduating classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024). Individuals who are not identified as SAEP Scholars are not eligible.

Definition of Emergency:
The San Antonio Education Partnership defines an emergency as any unanticipated or unmet, short-term financial need that, if not resolved, could prevent a student from persisting in or completing their education.

Statement of Need: Tell us why you're requesting emergency funding. Please be as detailed as possible to allow a full review of your request.

Have you sought out other sources of assistance particular to this need? If so, what was the source and the outcome?

Provide documentation to support each request selected above. Failure to include documentation will result in a delay of review of your request. Examples can include, but are not limited to: Police Report, Doctor’s Note, Bill/Invoice for Services, Written statement on your behalf, Eviction Notice, etc.

Acknowledgement

Emergency Aid funding recipients must submit an impact statement within 30 days of receiving funds. The statement should explain how the funding helped to address the unexpected financial hardship and may include photos. Failure to complete this requirement will result in forfeiture of the SAEP Scholarship.
